Heart of Stone-- Book Review

Laura Foster , Free from the bondage of an unspeakable childhood, has struggled to make a new life for herself. Now the owner of an elegant boardinghouse in Glory, Texas, she is known as a wealthy , respectable  widow. But laura never forgets that she is always just one step ahead of her past.

When Reverend Brand McCormick comes calling , Laura does all that she can to discourage him as a suitor. She knows that if her past were discovered, Brand's reputation would be ruined. But it's not only Laura's past that threatens to bring Brand down--its his own. ( Back of the book)

This is my first time reading this author and this book comes out in March 2010.

Laura- used to live in New Orleans ,used to be a  lady of the night in 1853
Brand- preacher

Laura now owns a B & B in Texas. She is searching for her sisters and not looking for a romance at all. She is doesn't like talking about her past at all. Brand has lost a wife and has 2 kids.

This book talks about Love, Redemption, forgiveness, prayer, choices , and anger.

This book is good enough to pass along to friends . I do think the 2nd novel with about Laura other sisters and what has happened to them and their stories since this is a Irish Angel Series. I think that this is a good series for christian readers of stories of hope. I do want to see what has happened with the sisters.

  2. Julie,
What a lovely surprise. The highest recommendation an author can get is that you enjoyed a book enough to pass it on to a friend! Thank you so much.
    Adorable "monkeys" by the way!
