Cresendo Book Review
I admit I thought that the first book was okay , and would rather read Torment. But since I have heard that is was mess..I passed Torment by and wanted to see what happened with Patch.
Nora is going to summer school, and looking for a job. She needs a job because she doesn't have a car yet. She and Patch are doing okay til she says I LOVE YOU. Patch then high tails it away from her. Nora then breaks up with him.
I loved seeing Marcie and Vee..they made me want to read the book. Nora was attracting Danger all the time. She seemed to find herself in situations where Patch rescued her multiple times. Even though they had broken up, he was still trying to help her. Nora in this book is questioning her relationship with Patch , and learns more about her father.
I wanted Nora to make up her mind about Patch..it was getting old about liking him , even though they had broken up. In almost every scene with Vee, they are eating something and or talking about food. Vee is dating Rixon, they have been as long as Nora has been with Patch. ( 2 months)
Nora was able to solve another mystery and learn more about her heritage. This book was better than I thought it would be and I might read the next book in this series.
Book Review=C

ReplyDeleteI am about half way through it and seriously considering giving up. While there are things I am curious about, I am not sure I want to try to wade through all the melodrama. Your review is wonderful, and reflects several of the points that have stopped my progression through the book. Thanks!
ReplyDeleteJust finished reading this book today and I quite liked it actually. I thought there were some very nice surprises in this book I didn't see coming at all.
ReplyDeleteGreat review!
Still haven't read an of these....:(
ReplyDeleteI can't decide if I want to start this series or not. I have so many books to read already and I keep hearing mixed things about it. I'm guessing I would be annoyed too.
ReplyDeleteThanks for your honest review. I'll keep your thoughts in mind when I read this one! :)
