The Hunchback of Neiman Marcus book Review

The Hunchback of Neiman Marcus: A Novel About Marriage, Motherhood, and Mayhem
Say hello to Holly—a writer way behind on her deadline whose fiftieth birthday is rushing at her like a freight train. Which might not seem so bad if her hormones weren’t making her feel like a Szechuan flambé, her editor wasn’t calling every day to tighten the screws, and her eighty-year-old mother wasn’t biting her nurses because the doctor’s been feeding her enough steroids to kill an elephant. Not to mention the fact that Holly’s daughter has just begun applying to colleges (none of which are within a thousand mile radius of home) and, lately, her husband’s been such an irritating, finger-pointing stinker that she’s found herself dreaming of ways to spend his insurance money( goodreads.com)

This is my first time reading this author. Also my first time reading book all in poem form.

It did take a bit to understand the book and all what was happening . But once I did I found this to be a fun book on life, menopause, empty nest , jealously, mothers, daughters , shopping.

I found this book to poems on life. I didn't relate to character at all but I could understand all that she was going through. I think my mom might enjoy this book. I also this book to be along the lines of chick lit. This was a fast read once I got into the story.

Book Review=B

This book comes out April 5th

Thanks to Harper for the book and this is my Honest review
