This is the 2nd book in the series, and her parents know the truth along with her boyfriend David. Laurel is going to the Academy in Avalon to train, and learn more about her fairy history.
While in Avalon, she meets Tam's mom , and learns more of the lingo. She is gone for 8 weeks for training during the summer time. With the diamond from the first book, her family starts a new business with herbs. There is some changes with her relationship with both of her parents in different ways.
Laurel meets Klea who also goes after trolls. Laurel also got invited to the Samhain Ball and her escort is Tamani. There is lots of discussion of Class, difference of fairies, and their abilities.
Loved the Parents were in the book, and Parenting. Loved that there is Honesty between Parents and Friends.
Best Line: I'm the lamest faerie ever
Loved the romance between Laurel & Tam & David .
This book is coming out in Paperback , so be on the look out for it.
