Alona and Will are back again. She is the spirit guide helping Will deal with the ghosts that need help to pass on. Will and Alona meet Mina who a bit like Will. Alona is still helping other Ghosts and still attracted to Will.
Alona doesn't trust Mina and lets Will know of her feelings toward disliking of her. Will has to decide whether or not Mina is good.
Alona and Will deal with some family issues that both new and hard for them, and both struggle . Alona also causes mischief that I think that only she would do . Will also learns more about his father and more about the "Book Club".
Alona doesn't mean to cause some Major mischief but with her usual spark , she has a big fight with Will . Will has come to get used to having Alona around and when something big happens. He is very concerned . She thinks she is helping at times, but with her choice comes some major ramifications. OMG the ending and I can't wait to see what happens next with Alona and Will.

This series is so much fun and one of the few out there that the 2nd bk is as good as the first - maybe even better.
