Seraphina Book Review

Don't judge this book by this cover. This book is amazing

Seraphina is a half dragon and human. She has an amazing gift for music and the assistant in charge for the music programs . She comes to light with a funeral and with her singing.  She has to hide her true self from the many people that she works with in town. Also they believe in different patron saints.

She feels alone and likes to hide in plain sight. She is different from other girls. She has her Uncle nearby and her mother did the unthinkable and fall in love with a human. She is able to access her mom memories and they help her with problems from family.

This world with deep with politics between dragons and Humans. The dragons are blending in with the Humans because they want to learn something more . She also gets to know and understand Lucian  who is the prince.

Seraphina was a rich and amazing detailed  world. She grew in this novel and was honest with herself and with some her friends. She is headstrong like her mother. Because she is dragon in , she understands the race and why certain things happen.

I enjoyed this novel in so many ways. I enjoyed the world building and that it was light on romance. I loved that there were dragons. This book was amazing and I can't wait to see what happens next with Seraphina. I loved that this book tackled prejudice.

Best Line : Your very presence makes other people feel awkward. You stand out when in fact you'd rather not.

I was a fool to let myself feel that. I was a monster; that could never change

  4. I have avoided stories about dragons for many years. This one sounds very interesting however. I think you have a good point when you said to not judge this book by its cover.

  6. I loved this book, but I also really liked the cover because it was so different for a YA book.

  7. I adored this book as well. I actually picked this one to do for one of my Book Slayer Monday's! I completely agree about the cover. I do love it, but it doesn't grab you like other covers do.

My only warning I had about the book is that it isn't for the faint of heart. It was an in depth read and I enjoyed every minute of it.

    Great review!
