Proxy Book review

Knox is an only child , and his dad is CEO  of a huge tech firm. Knox's family has alot of wealth. When he does something bad, his proxy has to take the punishment. Syd is Knox's proxy and lives in the Valve. Syd goes to work and school down in the valve.

Syd is a chapter 11 meaning gay and poor. Knox is out joyriding with a girl he can't remember her name, and he ends up crashing his dad's car . Syd  now has to take that punishment , and Syd also has to donate his blood to Knox so that he can live. Both of their lives change after this incident.

Syd wants a new identity, and Knox  happens to be the person who can make this happen. They accidentally meet up at a party , and then they are on the run. More secrets are revealed & things aren't always what they seem.

While on the run, more secrets come to light, and there is discussion about choices, being free, and debt. This isn't a nice world at all. Its a world full of debt to a corporation if you are a proxy. Being Healthy isn't really a concern for those living in the valve. There is a lot of technology used through out the book.

Syd and Knox do change and start understanding one another. After finishing this book, my mind was blown. There is some romance, but this book was great on the world building. This book still had me thinking about all the discussions that were brought up.

Book Review= B+

Thanks to Penguin for the book and this is my Honest Review

  1. I loved how little romance there was in this book, focusing instead on action and the many tense moments.
