Raven and her sisters are triplets . They all know that they have destiny. Coral and Kat are trying to find their warriors, and deal with things in Florida. Raven is trying to find her warrior Vanir who has 2 dogs. Raven ends up being found , and saved by him. They have an instant attraction. He has many brothers , and they openly discuss Norse mythology.

Friends of Vanir seem to be dying. Raven thinks that it might be her mom. She is also keepings secrets from Vanir. She also has some magic abilities, and can feel her goddess. During the book, they are in Oklahoma and dealing with a huge snow storm.

I didn't really like the insta attraction but it appears that it happens for all the sisters finding their warriors. I could feel the attraction between Vanir and Raven. I do adore this mythology , and this is my first time reading this author. I can't wait to read about the other sisters.

The mortal instruments movie review

I finally saw the movie. It was okay , but a bit long with the fights. Okay Valentine stole the movie.
Jace, Isabella, clarey were okay actors. Magus was monotone, and so not what I pictured. I think it followed the book okay.
Dh thought that this was a tv series. It was meh to me, and so glad I waited to see this on tv.

I am glad that I waited to see this on TV, and this did go by the book. It had been a long time since I read the book.

A match made in texas

Top 5 Songs for your books—

1.       Going Cowboy Crazy—The Boys of Fall/Kenny Chesney
Slate Calhoun is a high school football coach who thinks that winning is the most important thing.  Like the song, he’ll figure out that it’s more about being a team.
2.       Catch Me a Cowboy—The House That Built Me/Miranda Lambert Shirlene Dalton has spent most of her life trying to forget about her childhood on the wrong side of the tracks.  But when circumstances force her back to the rundown trailer she grew up in, she will face all the ghosts that haunt her and discover that you can’t outrun your past.
3.       Trouble in Texas—A Lil’ Ole Bitty Pissant Country Place/Dolly Parton.  Miss Hattie’s Henhouse is just a lil’ pissant country place.  And there’s nothing dirty going on . . . except for murder, intrigue, men getting handcuffed to beds, and librarians doing strip teases.
4.       Flirting With Texas—Live Like You Were Dying/Tim McGraw
After beating cancer, Beauregard Cates lives each day to the fullest.  When he’s not thrill seeking or traveling, he’s riding thousand-pound bulls—and doing a little detective work for the henhouse hens.  It’s this detective work that will bring Beau back home and have him “loving a little deeper.”
5.       A Match Made in Texas—Fastest Girl in Town/Miranda Lambert
Brianne Cates is the youngest, and only, sister to the legendary Cates brothers.  Which explains why she’s been sheltered most of her life, and why she has a daredevil streak a mile wide.  She would love to be the fastest girl in Bramble, Texas.  Of course, it’s hard to be fast when you drive your grandmother’s Smart Car, and when you have the major hots for a no-nonsense sheriff who wants to play by the rules.

Thanks for letting me monkey around with you, My Five Monkeys!

About A MATCH MADE IN TEXAS
Living with four over-protective brothers is enough to make a good girl go bad. But the day Brianne Cates hits the road for a taste of freedom, she gets more trouble than she bargained for when she's arrested by a sexy sheriff in mirrored shades. Now doing a stint of community service, she's not going to let a cowboy cop like Dusty Hicks mess with her newfound independence-even if he awakens every wicked fantasy she's ever had.

In Bramble, Texas, Dusty is the law. That means no leniency for the gorgeous rebel whose highway antics almost got them both killed. The divorced lawman doesn't need another rich, pampered princess, even if Brianne has the lushest body and sweetest smile in the whole darn state. But even as Brianne proves that she lives to walk on the wild side, Dusty begins to wonder if maybe he has what it takes to tame her.

stand alone

David's family is distraught over the loss of a family member. He is home schooled with his sister Mara. David develops a crush on Bailey who is in his math cave group.
His family goes through a major change , and many things happen during this time. David loves baseball , and he is really good at the sport.

This is a story of forgiveness and redemption. This is also a story of a family who gets broken up , and their journey to be slowly fixed. There are many baseball metaphors , and David has a wonderful friendship with Kane. With the friendship of Bailey & Kane , David is able to survive some things.

I loved how this book was told the story. Granted I am religious person, this book wasn't  preachy at all. It was a beautiful story.

Murder of crows

Murder of Crows

Roc
March 4
preordered this book , but ending up getting it by Karen because amazon was taking too long

The others are back . Things are changing since Meg has showed up to the courtyard. Meg can still do visions when she cuts herself. Simon wolfguard  is still in charge of the courtyard, and the residents that live there. Simon and Meg are awkwardly cute, and trying to figure things out happening between them. Meg is seems is getting a female pack of humans.

This book showed the courtyard and the others area can be so much bigger. We also meet the ferryman, and the simple life folks.

I adore this world and all the characters in this book. I adore Simon, vlad, Tess, and Meg. I would love to try those people cookies.
