At the start of this mesmerizing new installment of the Immortals series, Ever is helping her friend Haven transition into life as an immortal. But with Haven drunk on her new powers and carelessly putting them all at risk, their friendship becomes more and more strained. At the same time, Ever delves deeper into magick in order to get control over her enemy Roman and free Damen from his power. But when the spell she casts on Roman backfires, she’s bound to her deadliest enemy. Frantic to reverse the spell the moment the moon enters a new phase, she finds her efforts are fruitless—there’s a strange, foreign pulse coursing through her, one that propels her toward Roman. Desperate to break free of this terrible curse before Damen or the twins can discover what she’s done, she turns to Jude and delves deeper and deeper into dark magick, ultimately risking everything she knows and loves—including Damen.(goodreads.com)
Let me start off by saying I have read the 1st book only, and not Blue Moon or Summerland. But I jumped at the chance to see whats has been up with Ever and the Gang.
Ever and Damon are soul mates..but you wouldn't know it by her actions through out the book. She runs to Roman because she is obsessively attracted to him and Jude to have him her with Magic. She goes to Damon for make out at Summerland. 3 men and they are all immortal and want Ever.
Ever who aunt is a lawyer and getting married to a teacher..but only saw them in the book twice. Ever does readings for a job.
Ever always seemed to running off to Summer land and never discussing her problems with "soul mate" Damen. I understand that she is able to go to another plane, but if she were any other teenager--she would be hanging out with friends or the mall. I got tired of her always running off to summerland and not facing her problems. Keeping secrets will make any relationship tough and it seems that something that Ever is good at doing. I don't see why she should even be with Damen..she doesn't seem to love him as much.
This book also talked about Karma and at times it seemed like a self help book with all these good vibrations. I think Ever is finally starting to get it..and she wasn't as whiny as before..I'm curious where the author is going to from here.
You can't out walk your problems .Can never run fast enough to evade them completely .This is my journey , and there is no escaping it.
I do think that she is moving in better direction but I don't think that this is a series for me.
The Book comes out today 6/22 at your local store

ReplyDeleteI agree with Tina lol. I loved the first book, didn't really like the 2nd, loved the 3rd, and now I know I have to read this one. It's hard for me to stop a series after I've started :(
