Harry Potter Books & Movies
I admit I was one of those people that wanted the last book when it came out from Amazon. I wanted the Deathly Hallows and I think I had my first child , and wanted my sleep, so I didn't do the midnight book buying.
I had read the whole series and loved the world that JK Rowling created. I loved that this book dealt with friendships, school, and families.
I have seen all the movies and we own all of them. I have made sure that they are good enough for my kids to watch because I know that each of the books has gotten darker and darker with the threat of Voldemort.
I grew to love Snape, Malfoy, Ron , and the Weasley family. I did read with my son , the first 2 books and he has enjoyed that world. I still have all my books for the kids. The kids also have 1-5 in their room.
I don't have a favorite movie because I like them all for different reasons. I didn't have a clue that the Robert Pattinson from Goblet of Fire would become Edward Cullen.
I'm sad to see that the the movie series will ending soon..but its been great to see this world brought to life and able to see JK Rowling world.
Who is your favorite character from the book or Movie ??

Hermione is my favorite character in the books and the movies. Must say I do love Draco a bit more in the movies than in the books, but might be the actor playing him. I'm going at midnight to see the movie with my brother and then will probably spend time on the phone with oldest niece talking about the movie. She is in college and I'm the one who introduced her to the series when she was in 4th grade. We have gone to all the midnight parties together and might go see the movie again together over Thanksgiving.
ReplyDeleteI think my favorite character is Ginny. I'm not sure why but from the beginning I liked her. And of course Harry :D
ReplyDeleteAt first it was Hermione, because I am a bookworm myself :) However from the release of book 5 on, I have LOVED Luna and she has definitely taken over the top spot :) I hope to dress up as her for the part 2 premiere and next Halloween!
ReplyDeleteMy favorite is Snape. I always felt bad for him. And I like that Hermione is smart and not ruled by crushes. That's pretty rare in YA.
ReplyDeleteI have to admit, I have an absurd fondness for Mrs. Weasley. I love her, and love how she cares for her kids. She doesn't have much, and her kids probably drive her to her wits ends (especially Fred and George), but she loves them and is even willing to love Harry because he doesn't have a proper family.
ReplyDeleteHmmm...my favorite character would have to be Luna! She is happy in her own way and is a fierce and loyal friend. :)
