This is the 2nd book in the Hanaford Park Series by Lisa Sanchez .
This is Martha's story and we do hear mention of her help with Ryann romance, and helping her solve that problem.
Martha is goth chick and has magic. She has lost many family members already. She has been laughed at , and many times feels very alone. She meets this smexy bartender at the club Fire & Ice.
Martha has some family issues that need to be resolved , and Xan has daddy issues that he needs to over come. Their meeting was an accident but it would appear that he has been watching over her for many years.
Martha has glamoured her real self for some long that she wants a be herself. She has been on the run and in hiding since Lucien has killed some family members. I loved that they slowly took their time to develop a relationship Xan, while trying to solve the big bad problem.
Xan is different vampire , and he would do anything to save Martha. I loved that Martha didn't want a relationship with her mortal enemy. They both grew and changed through out the book and for the better. I loved the team work with Gabriel & Taylor. Her friends helped her , and even opened to eyes that maybe she had a thing for Xan.
After I was done reading the book, I had to know if the certain characters I thought were going to book number 3, and they are going to have their own book. This book was fun and just what I needed. This was a fast read and good to see some of the same characters again. I love her lingo and these girls sound like that they would be fun to hang with on a Friday night.
