Depends on the book really. Though I will say that I don't do well with long series (I start to forget things that have happened, especially when it's a year between book releases). A 5-6 book series works good for me.--The Book Vixen
I love Series BUT I think the books that have had the most impact on me have been Stand Alone--
Trilogy, I have a hard time letting go of a story and a trilogy gives me what I need.
I used to like trilogies because you get to revisit the characters and their world for a while but after so many (& a few that ended badly) I'm searching for more stand alones.
Definitely trilogy. I have trouble letting go of beloved characters, so I love when I get to see the story continued.
I enjoy both to much to pick one over another. If a stand alone is done well, where all the questioned are answered then it’s great. And I know that sometimes leaving things open for the reader to interpret also works for stand alone titles too. For a Trilogy, it’s fun to see the story build over the coarse of three books. The wait for each book(s) to follow the first is always the hardest part. So, I’m totally a fan of both.
I do like series of books, but there comes a time when a Series has to die. I do love trilogy's because its does end a series is a good ending. But lately I love reading stand alones books to because i dislike always having to read a series because I become invested with the characters
Stay tuned for the Next Question
