Bernie is a strong independent woman and also his body Guard, who works Jeremy Bridges a self made millionaire. They have a difficult working relationship. They are going to a
party , and guest who Jeremy is interested in. Bernie feels that something is weird with the guest. Bernie saves Jeremy life, and they have angry sex with out protection. She ends up pregnant.Bernie's mom Eleanor is also slowly losing her memory , and hopes that her daughter will get married and have kids. Once Bernie tells Jeremy that she is expecting , their lives change. They both have to make some compromises, and figure out their feelings for each other.
I needed a light book. I understood that that Bernie has/had a low self esteem , and she didn't feel pretty, 36, and that she didn't date much. This was repeated a bit much in my humble opinion. I also got that both Jeremy and Bernie both had Control issues with each other and their families.

ReplyDeleteI've been reading a few light romances too and all of mine have repeated phrases too. Kind of getting on my nerves since they would otherwise be fun stories.
