Dark Parties Book Review

Neva is daughter of the Minister and the family has lived in the Protectorate for many years. She along with her best friend deicdes to host a Dark Party. While at the party she kisses someone who isn't her boyfriend. The kids have all made a pact not to procreate because the time that they live in.

Neva has book of the Missing . In this book its all the things that have gone missing from her life. She still remembers her Grandma and wears a snowflake necklace. She is wanting to rebel against the society, but her friends don't want her to.

Ethan is her boyfriend and want to marry her and have kids with her. Neva isn't too sure if that what she wants to do right now. She is also attracted to Braydon who is seeing her best friend. She gets a job at her dad's office and there starts figuring out that secrets are being kept from citizens , and that her parents also have secrets.


I have no clue who is in charge because we never see them . We have some ideas of why the people are living in Protectorate, and things are dying. But I didn't connect to any of the characters at all. I had a tough time understanding the reasons why no one asking the questions or trying to revolt against a society that slowly becoming inbred.

I would have liked to have seen more information on the Center where her friend was being held. I wanted to understand whys to culture and being inside the Protectorate. I wished that she could have learned some of her parents secrets and curious if there is going to be another book.

I did enjoy the pictures of snowflakes  during the story.
