Amelia husband has been dead for almost a year. She is raising the two boys and running the business. Eli is in town for a wedding. Amelia hasn't been feeling very good lately. The doctors informs her that she multiple scoliosis.
She hears of a cure in Costa Rica, and decides that its time to sell the business to get the cure. She needs help from the church, and wants to be there for her kids.
Eli, Burke are both interested in the business that she is selling. Amelia is at a crossroads in her life whether to sell the business to an English man or another Amish man. She learns that Eli lost his wife and son.
Amelia has some choices to make with her future. I found that even though she was a mom, that her kids were sporadically mentioned. One of her dear friends Emma is courting a younger man, and it appears to be the next book in the series. Amelia does make a choice and there is joy in her future.
