Feb 7 is when it comes out
I admit the first time I read this book..I wasn't and couldn't get into it. I was surprised to get this book at my doorstep and have the opportunity to try to read it again. Luckily I was in a better mood to read and enjoy this book. Thanks again penguin, and letting me have another change to review this book.
Cate is the oldest daughter of the Cahills. She is also a witch with powers. She has the strongest power of the sisters. She has to make a choice to going with the sisters and study or get married. She is attracted to Paul and Finn.
Her younger sisters Maura, Tess also have powers too. They have some money, and their father doesn't know that his daughters have powers. They lost their mother some time ago, but still dealing with some of the grief. Cate is learning more of the secrets from their mom's diary. She also has some big choices to make for herself and her sisters.
Cate wants to do whats best for everyone.
This ending was abrupt and I do want to see the see the next book of the sisters. There was some romance for Maura. Cate doesn't know who to trust at all. I do love this cover and found many great lines but these were the best.
Best Lines: Mother's too independent for their liking. They suspect she flouts their rules and sells banned books. They're right
What good is teaching a woman to read ? Really girls , you should try not to think at all if you can help it. . It might hurt your pretty little heads.

Thanks to the penguin for the book and this is Honest Review
Aah no I hate abrupt endings. And I was so looking forward to this. I'll still read it but thanks for the honest review! I'll know what to expect! (I haven't read many reviews on it)
ReplyDeleteI'm glad you were able to give this a second chance. It's amazing what a change in mood will do! I know it affects my reading, even though I try not to let it. I honestly haven't seen very many reviews on this. I'll try it if I get the chance, but probably won't seek it out.
ReplyDeleteHappy Reading!
I had a hard time getting into this book too, but I'm glad it worked better for you on the second try!
ReplyDeleteIsn't it weird how a second try can give us such a different view of the book? Glad you gave it another shot.
