Bruised Book Review

Imogen is 16 years old and has a black belt in Tae Kwon Do . She is in a dinner waiting for her friend , when a gunman comes in , and ends up getting shot and killed by the police. She was under the table , and ended up watching someone eye's through out the whole ordeal.

Imogen feels that she should have been able to do something with her black belt. She feels that she killed the man with the gun. Through this book we see glimpses of her life before the incident. She sees the world very black and white. She also has her life in order because of the Tae Kwon Do. There are also some family issues that she deals with through out the book. She also meets someone new who helps her find some calm since the incident. She is suffering from PTSC, and her life is slowly changing along with counseling that she is getting. She also meets Ricky who was another victim from the diner. Imogen & Ricky have a friendship since they were both at the diner.

This book was a fast read , and very thought provoking with such serious topic.
