stand alone
David's family is distraught over the loss of a family member. He is home schooled with his sister Mara. David develops a crush on Bailey who is in his math cave group.
His family goes through a major change , and many things happen during this time. David loves baseball , and he is really good at the sport.
This is a story of forgiveness and redemption. This is also a story of a family who gets broken up , and their journey to be slowly fixed. There are many baseball metaphors , and David has a wonderful friendship with Kane. With the friendship of Bailey & Kane , David is able to survive some things.
I loved how this book was told the story. Granted I am religious person, this book wasn't preachy at all. It was a beautiful story.
Book Review= B+

I'm curious to read this one -- it sounds so different from her other books!
ReplyDeleteThanks so much for stopping by! Jen @ YA Romantics
I love how she balanced the religious aspect. It questioned faith but didn't make fun of or look down on anyone's beliefs.
