Neverland-- Book Review

In Never Land, cousins Beau and Sumter are summering at their grandmother's home on Gull Island. While the grown-ups drink and fight amongst themselves, the kids explore the island in search of adventure. Unfortunately, Sumter isn't exactly the most mentally healthy child, and he drags his cousins into some bizarre, frightening and dangerous games in his secret hideaway called Neverland.( Goodreads.com)

First published in 1991

This is from Beau point of view and that of a 10 year old on a summer vacation on Gull Island. I liked seeing the Grand mother being able to help the boy and was able to explain things to the boys. I loved seeing the boys imagination and that they were able to have fun over the summer while their parents were fighting. This book reminded me of what happens when you open the box on an island and all heck breaks loose over the vacation.

Thanks to PTA for the book and this is my Honest review and this book comes out in May 2010.
