Jane Eyre Book Review

Jane grows up in a home not wanted. She likes to read books too. She is a disobedient child and sent away to a school. She then makes some friends. She decides it time to look for employment to be a governess. She answers advertisement for Thornfield Hall and gets a job.

She meets Mr. Rochester while on a walk to the post office. She scares his horse and his leg gets hurt. While back at the house she find that Mr. Rochester is back home and with a hurt leg. Jane is a smart and independent woman who has some terrible events in her childhood. Rochester invites Blanche to the house and is wooing her. Rochester thinks himself an evil man. He doesn't want to loved , and taking on the punishment for his choices.  I liked this book to Beauty and the Beast. I could also see many comparison  of this book that was Twilight series.

I loved that this romance took time and that they where talked and slowly fell in love. I found this book to be amazing and loved so many of the conversations between Jane and Rochester. When Jane find out that Rochester has a crazy wife , she runs away. While out on her own she find Mr. Rivers and his sisters. She finds a new job, and there content , but still thinking about Rochester. I love that she is independent.

I also noticed that there was mention of fairies, magic and vampires. Jane has bewitched Rochester by being herself. There is talk of beauty and plainness.  I also enjoyed the talk of christian  mixed with some paranormal. I didn't like Jane's family at all. I loved she loved to read books. I thoroughly enjoyed this book and so glad that I read this book. I can't believe that it has taken so long to read this beautiful work. I swoon over Rochester.

Best Line: Farewell , Mr. Rochester , for the present

I sometimes have a queer feeling with regard to you, especially when you are near me, as now. it is if I had a string somewhere  under my left ribs, tightly  and extricable knotted to s similar string  situated in the corresponding quarter of your fame.

I did this read along with Karen and Alex and we discussed this book every ten chapters and all had different viewpoints on it. It was great to get insight over these characters and their flaws.

Book Review= B+

This is my own book and I have marked it up alot

I also have seen the BBC version and the Fassbender version of the movie. I love watching this movie.

What Classic should I read next ??
