Thoughts on TV

I have been thinking of TV shows I used to have to watch. I remember that we watched Oprah, Phil , and we watch other shows. I remember that my mom had her soap opera...As the world turns and General Hospital. Which in turn I grew up with those characters and they were apart of my life. I remember watching Head of the class, Dynasty, 90210, Melrose Place.

I was thinking now....I could care less what Oprah has to say or what she gives away. I have certain shows that we watch during the week like House, Bones, Smallville, and battlestar galactic, etc. I really don't have a favorite show anymore. I don't watch soap opera at all. They seem too cheesy.

What are you watching right now ??? What show do you wish would go off the air ?

  4. I watch Americas got talent in the Summer and Usually House in the Fall and spring. However I don't watch these shows every week. I could do without a few of those judge shows. Those drive me up the wall!

  6. I have pretty much cut out all sitcoms from my life. I found them to be insulting to either my intelligence or my morality. And I have become snobby with my reality tv now, too. I am sick of dunderheads with nothing but a good set of boobs winning big bucks for doing nothing inparticular. So I watch Top Chef and Project Runway because those people have real talent. I also watch So You Think You Can Dance. If I want something to watch while I fold clothes it is HGTV, TLC, or The Food Network. But that doesn't happen often. I usually am forced to watch Dora or Sprout. :)

  8. Julie-
please don't think that I have forgot you! I have had some major family trauma the past few days and I have not had a second to put your pkg in the mail. I am going to put it in the mail today. Just know it's coming and I didn't forget you!
    Forgive me!

I am with you, I don't really watch that much tv. I do love house. Not really anything else. oh wait, i have a secret love for HGTV design star. I love the fun, cheap ideas that they come up with!!
I also watch a lot of disney channel. Not by choice, but because my kids love it!! It might be terrible acting, but the shows are entertaining for the girls, and i don't have to worry if they are watching smut.

  9. I watch way too much tv. I really need to cut it down. I watch the original CSI, Medium, Lost, Battlestar Galactica, Stargate Atlantis, ARmy Wive and in Plain Site. Oh, yeah, and Jordyn and I watch Jon and Kate Plus 8 together.

  11. I havec a love/hate relationship with the Food Network. But you know that.
I love to watch tear-jerker shows, you know the ones - the ones that are all about making other people's lives better. That's the only Oprah show I watch (The Big Give) but I can't stand Oprah anymore & I wish that she were removed from the air. Too many people value what she thinks and her views have become waaaay apart of what Heavenly Father would have us believe and do.
And desperate housewives needs to be gone, too. Blech.
Love "The Office", "House", "Lost", "Grey's Anatomy", and a lot of Food Network/HGTV/TLC. It may seem I watch a lot of tv. But I really don't. I just like those shows and will watch them when I remember they're on. Oh yeah - and Popeye & I watch "Ghost Hunters" together on Wednesday nights - it's our 'date night'.
