The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo--Book Review

The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo
Yes I finally broke down and started reading this book, since there is so much hype about this book.

Let me tell you ..I'm already sucked into the storyline with Mikael and Lisbeth. I have stayed up reading this book.

Mikael is a journalist who has to do jail time for libel story he did about a rich business who takes money. He get a job of the lifetime to work on the Vanger family history and find a missing girl.

Lisbeth is smart , tattooed and keeps to herself at her job. She has known many bad men in her lifetime and will defend herself at all costs. These two unlikely characters come together to solve the case that taken on a life of its own.

The author has passed away and I know this book has Hype all over it but it was pretty good . There is alot of Violence to women in many ways through out the story. Mikael has many relationships with women through the book too.

Book Review=4/B

Bought this book and will be reading the next book in the series. Maybe this book will be just as good.

  1. Wow! Really? I just don't know about this one...I've read a few excerpts from it when at the bookstore. I just wasn't able to get into it. Perhaps I'll give it another go...

  4. I hear the next one is the best in the series.

I have to get past knowing the intro is a ton of development for the story, I am not a patient reader, lol

  8. I tried to read this one a couple of years ago. After a few chapters I gave up, and put it back on my TBR pile. I think that might be my only DNF ever. Everyone says it gets better so I should probably pick it up again.

  10. I watched the movie last night and OMG!...it was excellent...subtitles and all! I kept thinking, "If the book is as good as the movie, then it has to be stellar!" I tried to order it from one of my book clubs, but it was out of stock. As soon as I can get my hands on it, I'll be reading it!

  14. Oh, this is one of my fav books EVER! I loved it so much that I wrote my first article on it when the Croatian translation of the third book came out. And the story behind is quite fascinating, too. Did you know he intended to write TEN books? Unfortunately, he died...but there's a first draft in his laptop which is in possession of his partner, but she doesn't have the legal right to finish and publish it... A great book!
