Personal Demons--Book Review
Frannie is a high school and has many siblings. She is like any teenager but something about her is different. At school she meets Luc , and then Gabe.
Luc is trying to tag Frannie for Hell , and Gabe is wanting to tag her for heaven. She is lusting for both men for different reason. Luc is the bad boy , and Gabe is the good boy. It got old with always running to someone for help, when she seemed so independent and strong female character.
I loved the scenes with the Satan talking to Luc.
There are 2 points of views through the story of Luc & Frannie. Luc is able to smell so many different spices from people and all the spices mean totally different things. I actually was getting hungry with all the food being mentioned.
I didn't like that Frannie went from kissing Luc to kissing Gabe. I understand not being able to make a choice , but as a reader Luc seems to have a better chance at her since we get to see his point of view over Gabe.
Frannie seems like the perfect kid with karate , and having her sway. It seemed she had friends but they weren't the best friends.
Frannie feels guilt over an incident many years ago , and there are more questions now. Loved the Grandpa and that there was interaction. I also loved seeing parents in the book, but they always seemed busy with the other kids.
This book didn't keep my attention as much as I hoped it would, because I did put it down and read other books and then come back to it. I passed this book onto another local author --Brenda Pandos.
Book Review=C
I bought this book and this is a local author to me and wanting to push all my local authors and my honest review.

ReplyDeleteI'm reading Brenda Pandos (The Emerald Talisman) now! I think the plot of Personal Demons sounds really good, but I've heard some mixed things about it. Either way, I can't wait to read it for myself and make up my own mind. Thanks for sharing your thoughts!
