Angel Harp Book Review

Angel Harp: A Novel

Marie has been a widow for some time. She wants to accomplish some of the dreams before she gets to old. She travels to Scotland and brought her harp with her. She finds a town and decides to stay in it for a long time.

While there she makes friends with some of the town people and becomes attracted to Iain & the Duke ( Alasdair). They are enemies over a past incident . Marie's music inspires change in the people , and within herself. Marie slowly makes friends with Gwendolyn and wants to give her harp lessons.

Marie slowly gets to know both of the men , and slowly brings about change within the the town and starts asking questions that have needed. She wants to find out the truth of what really happened , and wonders why she is being looked at for being a visitor in the town. Marie also learns more about Scotland and the history of the Dukes. I admit I skimmed over all the history of Scotland.

In this town it seems that everyone has a secret including Marie. Marie attends a sermon by Iain and the topic was Come Follow me , and there is no fear in love. Marie decides to go to Edinburgh for a few days , and clear her head. During this trip she is changed in more ways than one.

Marie change helps her want to help her friends and during the time she realises that she is love with two men who are friends. She needs to make a  choice with her life, but doesn't want to hurt them. There is happiness, sadness, love, and some talk of religion because Iain is a Priest in town.

I enjoyed this book and all the characters, and loved the chapter titles. It was book that I needed to read because it brought up such questions to ask about faith, and church. I did think that there might be another story with Oliva or Iain. I want that man to find someone to love.

Best Line: Everything...the history , the music, the spirtuality..the magic. It's a grand tapestry!

Book Review=B
