Hilary is a single mother who has been divorced from Eric for the past six years. Eric had an affair with Pam who was pregnant with their child. Seth is Eric's child with Hilary. Hilary is also a nurse who has supported herself since the divorce.
Seth is graduating from high school, and the all the family wants to be there for that occasion. Seth wants to go camping with friends, and his mom is apprehensive about it but still lets him go after graduation.
Seth makes a poor choices and faces the consequences of his actions. Luckily his family is still in town because of the graduation. There is some animosity between Hilary and Pam. They are both trying to parent Seth. I found that everyone was trying to be a NICE christian but these ladies needed to actually TALK about their relationship issues about Eric.
There were many points of views and I was glad that Eric felt guilty leaving his wife, and son for someone else, and the lack of communication between Eric and Hilary almost seemed to make this forced conflict albeit a real one that real families go through.
Having read this author before I knew that it was all going to end up with a good ending , and loved that everyone was trying to be a better christian. Overall a great story
