Shut Out Book Review

Shut OutLissa is dating Randy who is a football player. They have been dating for sometime. There is a rivalry between the Soccer Team and Football team players for the last ten years.

The girlfriends of both teams decide with hold sex in all forms from the players. Lissa gets her eyes open about Randy during this time.

Cash is a friend , and also works with her at the library. He is also on the Soccer Team. She always feels relaxed around him. She is also making friends with all the other girls. She is also learning that whether or not they have had sex or waited. Its a big choice to take the relationship to the next level.

Lissa and Cash have some great moments . I loved the trailer scene , and girls sleepovers. It was great to know that there is no normal is relationships.

Best Line:  Maybe reading comedy would be just the thing to help you loosen up a bit. You have a great smile- I'd like to see it more often.

This my first time reading this author and she talks frank about sexual situations and I know that my daughter is too young to read this book.

Book Review=C

Thanks to Little Brown for the book and this is my Honest Review

  1. Kody is definitely blunt when it comes to sex and I really like that about her. Of course I'm an older reader so it works for me:) I'm really looking forward to this one!

  2. That is what I liked about her debut The DUFF, it made her stand out. I've been excited for this book, then again I'm also older.

  3. I am a bit confused, and curious as to why Julie only gave this book a "C" rating, when she seemed to enjoy its' content, as well as the author's frankness. Will she improve her rating when her daughter is old enough to read it?

  4. Thanks for stopping by and leaving a comment. I usually end up giving books like this a C rating because its like chick lit to me. Look over some of my reviews from 5spot or even some romance books.

I might raise the grade on later, and might let my daughter read this book. But with hype with books and authors, this is my review on it.
