Alex is a Half Blood. She has killed two daimons outside of the Covenant. Her mother has just died. Her mom was in love with someone else , so she is the love child of that union.
Once she is at the Covenant, her status is in question by Lucian(her stepfather). She has the summer to train to become a Sential.She is going to trained by Aiden.Alex has had a crush on him for a long time. He is also a pure blood, and the Gods don't want the mixing of the bloods.
Once she is back , she is catching up with Caleb. He is her Best Friend. Through him she is able to catch up on all the gossip . She also starts training with Aiden.
Grandma Piperi tells Alex of her fate, and she learns more secrets that Lucian has held back from her. There is also the introduction of Seth who Apollyn for this time period.
Great debut and loved this world. I loved that Aiden was swoon worthy. I loved that this wasn't an instra romance and that it grew over time. I also loved that Aiden Brother Deacon was in the school. I loved the conversations between Aiden and Alex.
I can't wait to read the next book in the series. My only problem I had was with the cover. It didn't seem to go with the book at all.

Thanks for reviewing! The covers of the entire series are fire flower versions of the flower of the story--in this case, the hibiscus that Alex's mom loved. The rose for the PURE cover also has significance, as did the tulip on DAIMON.
