Chess first mission with the church. She tries to solve it while working with the Black Squad. She has had tough life, and she feels better in downside. She has a flask hidden, and she prefers to work alone. She is trying to fit in with the church, and figure out her path. We see some old faces and some new faces. I loved that Chess has hope and trying to better her life.

Brady has 5 things he never does but he breaks them for Annie. He picks her up at a rest stop. Annie is keeping a big secret from him. She finds love and friends in a small town. It was totally followed the usual romance books, and every other chapter was either Annie or Brady's point of view. We are in their heads alot. She is virgin bride and Brady has experiences.

DeleteI do have to wonder why that cover has Chessie blond? She is brunette in all the other covers, including mine of the new one. I hate when publishers change covers to where it makes no sense.
