Neryn is still with her friends at Shadow fell. Flint is still a spy for the enemy. Tali is training her to become a better fighter. Neryn needs to ask the guardians for help and training with being a Caller. This journey is with Tali , and some secrets are revealed along the way.

This book was slower but there was a lot of action, and new characters are introduced. I didn't see a slump with this series, and can't wait to see how it ends. This book was light on the romance.

    The second book in a series has disappointed me many, many times. Things usually improve by the third. Why are second books so disappointing?!
