The Here and Now book review

The Here and Now
Random House
stand alone
April 8

Prenna James  is from the future. She came almost 4 years with a certain date marked on her arm. She also got a sweatshirt from a boy.

Forward a couple years later, she is going to school with the boy ( Ethan). He loves playing card games with her. He also knows that she is different. They both know a homeless man who they have nicknamed Ben Kenobi. He helps them out in big ways.

Prenna  has to wear these glasses , and she has to take these pills. They also have to obey some very important time travel rules. In the future, its not a very nice world. Many things happened from 1 day in time.
Prenna has feelings for Ethan, but she knows that she can't act on them. She also has to report in , and keep her distance since she is from the future. She also tries to solve the mystery about the date. She also comes to a realization about some of the rules. She also finds out some secrets.

This book was great about the time travel and the effects that one person can make and do damage to the future. The message came about differently , but the way it did come about did make sense. I loved that this brought up the effects from the future whether digital , or global. Overall I enjoyed this book , and loved that there was some romance. I also enjoyed it being a stand alone.
