Charlotte Ryder is going to school away from her family. She meets Julia who is popular and in world of her own. She becomes friends with her . Julia isn't happy and Charlie meets the rest of the family along with Sebastian. They welcome her with open arms.
Julia and Charlotte are room mates senior year. Julia's family helps her out , and she keeps an eye on Julia. Charlotte also starts getting to know Sebastian better. Charlie wants to know more about Augustine( Gus) but Julia doesn't really want to help her with that mystery.
Charlotte keeps a box of memories from all of her experiences . She is an artist.
I didn't know that that this was a retelling of Bridehead revisited. It was like it and many of the names are the same.

Aubrey and her friends the best of friends. They have these theories with love so that they don't get hurt. Aubrey meet Nathan , and they date for a while. We also see during this book her past relationship with Trip and junior Prom. Nathan and Aubrey are headed to the same college. Trip needs some help with studying . Things chnage in the book with her relationships with her girl friends and Nathan. She also realizes her error of being a mean girl.
I really didn't like this book at all. I enjoyed the reasoning behind all the theories. There was a lot of sex and drinking. This book seemed to be about the girl's friendship. This author is local to me.
