Life on Planet Mom -- Book Review

When I first heard the theme for Next year in MOPS 2009-2010...I laughed and wondered how it would all come together. I didn't think that was good topic, to be it sounded like they were going all Green on me..I didn't sound like my cup of tea...I wasn't too sure if I wanted to do next year.
I got this book around Mothers day and I ended up liking the book. It was quick fast read and I enjoyed how it was all laid out through all the chapters.
After reading the book Life on Planet MOM . It had many resources to help a mom out. I loved how it starts with the family and then goes to community and global. I loved the questions after each chapter and I loved that it recapped all the chapters. I didn't like the opening stories because I couldn't relate to them but I understood the point they were trying to get across.
This reminded me of other books from MOPS like What Every mom needs and Breathe. Which I own...but this book seemed more relevant to me now..I liked the comments from real moms sprinkled through out the book.

This line meant something to me:
You were meant to have relationships, filled with joy and depth and meaning-- something you want to model for your children.right? its important this relationship thing. Whether you're an introvert or extrovert, quiet, loud, everyone craves connection to know that we're not alone.pg.181
