Allie Finkle Rules for Girls -- Stage Fright & Glitter Girls

Allie Finkle is a 4Th Grader and has a younger brother and 2 parents at home. Her mom does Movie reviews and works at the College. I have no idea what the DAD does. There is alot of family interaction.

In Stage Fright...Allie and her classmates put on a play about recycling. Her family is nearby like her Uncle Jay who works at the Pizza and goes to school. Allie and her friend experiences while putting on a play, and auditioning for the part.

Allie likes her Rules. I found this book enjoyable and my daughter is reading this book now and is excited to read even more. At the back of the book is Allie's rules of all the things she has learned. Its perfect for girls ages 9-12.

My daughter M is reading this book now.

This book is already out.

Glitter Girls and Great Fake out: Allie Finkle #5

Allie gets invited to a birthday party of a friend she doesn't really like. She would rather be at a Twirl with friends. This takes place over a weekend. Allie's parents are going to visit Uncle Freddie in San Francisco , while there Aunt Joyce is going to watch them. But then Aunt Joyce got sick, so Uncle Jay and his girlfriend stepped in to help out.

Allie goes to the party and rides in a limo, and does something at Glitterati its like Glamour Shots/Project Runway. I found the Dad to be the voice on reason.

Dads line " the idea of renting a SUV limo and carting a bunch of girls into the city for dinner and a night at hotel suite for a tenth birthday is completely ludicrous , not a mention a waste of money?"

Its a good story about friendships, lying, practice, books, birthday party. These are great stories for girls. At the end of book , there are all of Allie Rules and the list is practical and real.

This book comes out March 2010.

  1. Hi April, thanks for stopping by my blog....we were talking about pregnancy insomnia a few weeks ago. What a blessing to have 5 children...although lots of hardwork! I love your book-reviews, I'm always looking for good books...I haven't read anything new since the Twilight series earlier this year :)
