What My Best Friend Did book Review

The story starts out with Alice in the Hospital with Gretchen. Alice is best friends with Gretchen and they have known each other for about one year.

Alice is boyfriend and room mate is Tom. Tom just proposed to Alice before she left to Los Angeles and where she meets Gretchen for a photo shoot. Alice comes back to England and wonders if she will meet up with Gretchen again. Alice and Gretchen are both using each other for more job contacts.

Alice is also friends with Victoria , and her husband Luc. Victoria is the person she talk to when there is no one else.

Alice also meets Bailey who is Gretchen's brother and learns that she is manic depressive . Alice is attratched to Bailey. Bailey is a travel journalist and also interested in Alice.

Alice kisses Bailey and tells the truth and Tom breaks up with her. Tom moves to New York , and Bailey breaks up with her.

Tom and Gretchen end up dating in New York.

Alice is remembering all these experiences in the hospital while waiting for her friend Gretchen to wake up from her coma. There is some tension in the waiting room with Bailey and Tom both waiting with Alice and for Gretchen. 

This book did talk about some issues with friends and how a person acts with Manic depressive. This book showed how it affects family and friends.
