When Summer Comes

This is the 3rd book is the whisky creek series.

Callie has a liver disease. She is slowly dying and hasn't told anyone . She is watchful of her diet. She rescues and saves Levi who was bitten by some dogs. She also used to have a friends with benefits thing with Kyle.  Rifle is her pet dog.

Callie asks for Levi to stick around and help with the barn. She is attracted to him. He is a Afghanistan war vet and still in love with someone from his past. She doesn't want anyone to know that she is sick. Baxter is trying to be honest about his self and love for Noah. Callie loves to buy clothes for Levi. He is younger than her by 5 years. Levi also knows karate. Levi does find a job in town , and does stay and meet her friends. The thorn birds is brought up , and we do all of the gang.  I did enjoy seeing Dylan and Cheyenne a bit.

I did love seeing the gang back together , and loved seeing the local places mentioned. But this book was different , it was preachy about animal cruelty and Live Disease.  I am trying to figure out who the next book in the series is about. I do hope that Baxter & Noah get their own book , and not a novella.
