This is what happens after the door shuts. Allyson & Willem both catch up and we see what happens during the day. We also see their friends. Both of their quotes from both books do come up in this book.

I was glad to see what happened with them. I wanted some closure and I got it. I was glad to see Allyson and Willem reconnect after that big year.

Kelly wilder has lost her husband , and for the first year she hasn't done much . Kelly is also in her 50's.  Once the year is up , she decides to take a dance class. She still keeps in contact with her best friend Elyse. We see many memories , and she did sleep around , and have an affair with a married man. This year she makes friends with other dancers, and takes care of someone dying. This year is full of growth. She takes her time with relationships . She is also able to give back to many people since the death of her husband.

This book was okay , but I didn't like the cheating or finding out about through the memories. Kelly's life wasn't perfect , and she did make some poor choices. But she becomes a stronger independent woman.

Thaila  Apple is the daughter of a scientist mom , and a tech dad.  She is of mixed race of Chinese and Black. She is also privileged child living in the inner loop. She is an odd duck who can hack , but isn't online. Her grandparents live with her family. She also has been hearing her tummy growl. Her school is more of a focus group for product placement. Her best friend wants a job through the One world corporation.

She goes out with her friend and meets Basil. She smells new scents and he tells her about a meeting. Her mom would like her to checked out. She learns that the area , food and connections at the meeting. She get put into patient treatment, and Basil breaks her out. Thaila eyes are opened to the Outer rings, and learns more about the control of One World.

This book was different dystopian . Thaila is hungry for connection, food, and knowledge. She questions authority and even her insta relationship with Basil. I liked Apple because she stirs the pot, and she got people talking about the issues plaguing the area. Also the Parentals  were smart, involved , and she had a good relationship with them. Basil had a tough life but he seemed to readily believe the adults in charge. Basil also seemed to normal with anger issues at his life and family.

I had asked for this book to try for the family along with those children who might need it. There are lots of wonderful recipes to cook . There is a wide variety , and many of them sound tasty.

There is also in the book way to help your child with this , along with levels for sensitivity that kids might have with this disorder. There are so many recipes that I want to try for my kids.

Amy slowly develops feelings for Matthew, but she has a tough time speaking to him about it. Matthew slowly gets better, and Amy helps him get a job. They are the best of friends. Amy is pretty smart and gets into 6 colleges, whereas Matthew isn't ready for it yet. Amy goes to Prom with Matthew, and its the best and worst night for them.  Many things change for them during the summer. Amy starts college and things aren't what she expected it to be. Matthew is still working at the Movie Theater , but he is making friends. Amy's life changes for her .

This book made me cry, and so many feelings. I loved that there were many diverse people in this book with disabilities. There was person with Aspergers mentioned , and his struggles. Amy grew and changed along with Matthew. I loved that parents were present for both of them. Amy's parent's sheltered her a bit much but you could see that they loved her. Matthew with his OCD , and how his brain worked was  pretty cool. I loved that they are friends before anything else. This book had hope, and friendship. I loved seeing the world in Amy's eyes. Seriously read this book.

Armchair BEA-- Why I read Young adult

Our final genre of discussion is one that we know is a popular one these days: books for the younger crowd, from middle grade to young adult. If you do not normally talk about this genre on your site, maybe you want to feature books that you remember impacting you during this stage in your life. If this is where you tend to gravitate, maybe you want to list your favorites, make recommendations based on genres, or feature some titles that you are excited to read coming later this year.

I got into reading young adult because of Twilight. I also had girls and I hadn't read YA for some time. I wanted to know what now in the books because what I had was so different from what is now . I have found new authors, and there have been some amazing books. I do like to switch up between YA and adult books . Some of the books that I read and loved are : The winner's curse, we were liars, Say what you will , Forbidden, and many more.

These are some of the books that I adore and have made my love of Young adult grow even more. Written in Red, and Easy are the only adult books that I love so much.

Justin still has feelings for Mae, and he doesn't want to act on them because then he will do the bidding for Odin. Justin is friends with Lucien , and he invites them to go with him on a Goodwill trip to Arcadia. Mae has a vision about her niece , and wants to save her.

Justin and Mae arrive in Arcadia , and Religion is the key . IN this part of the world, there is polygamy , and girls were being sold into slavery. Justin has a mission to complete from his god, and has a experience with the Ravens. Tessa is exploring a story close to home regarding a Senator. Mae has her mission to complete.

I am growing to love this world and the mythology , and that many different religions are brought up. I love seeing the Norse Mythology and it appears to be the main one. I can't wait to see what happens next with Justin  & Mae. There were some sweet moments, and the truth did come out regarding their relationship.
