The Last Cowboy Blog in Texas Tour

Starlet  Brubaker is a famous singer . Beckett Cates just happens to see her and rescue her while at a concert. Starlet  has been in love with Beau and has been trying to break up his marriage. Beckett helps Scarlet with some security . Beckett is trying to figure out his life since being out of the marines.

They haven't really liked each other , and there was an incident in the past where she threw herself at him. Beckett turned her down. There is a a lot of sexy times . I did enjoy seeing the other couples from the other books mentioned. I did enjoy that there was a family aspect to this series. There was also some funny times through out the book.

Thanks so much to Forever and this is my Honest Review

About The Last Cowboy in Texas, book 7 in Katie Lane’s Deep in the Heart of Texas series
Country music princess Starlet Brubaker has a sweet tooth for moon pies and cowboys: both are yummy-and you can never have just one. Now Beckett Cates may not be a cowboy, but he certainly has the heart, soul-and body-to whet her appetite. He's a sexy ex-Marine with a touch hotter than the scorching Texas sun and arms strong enough to catch her when she lands into trouble.

Playing bodyguard to America's sweetheart isn't easy for Beckett. But falling for her sure is. Unfortunately, Starlet has a reputation for keeping a guy or two wrapped around her finger and Beckett refuses to be anybody's backup. So now it's up to Starlet to prove that she's put her cowboy-crazy days behind her. Otherwise, she'll be singing solo instead of living in harmony with the man who's loved her even before her fame and fortune.

Blurb:
The majority of Prosaic City's residents don't know that their town exists on top of another place -- Necropolis, City of the Undead. For the most part, the two planes of existence manage to remain separate. And when they don't, Necropolis Enforcement has beings in place to ensure the general human population remains blithely clueless.

Victoria Wolfe is more than just a policewoman. She's an undercover werewolf assigned by Necropolis Enforcement to work Prosaic City Police's Night Beat. Victoria's comfortable working the shift where all the weird comes out to play, especially since her partner is also her perfect man. Or would be, if Victoria could ever work up the nerve to tell him she isn?t like other girls.

It's hard enough being a werewolf in disguise, but when a creature from the Depths of Hell shows up in an alley preferred by junkies, bums, and hookers, it's going to take more than just Victoria's special gun and werewolf skills to subdue the ancient Sumerian demon. Especially when the demon is merely the start of what appears to be a major takeover attempt by the Prince of Darkness.

Soon all of Necropolis Enforcement's Undead Brigade is involved in the fight to stop the Prince's Major Minions from taking over Prosaic City and the rest of the human plane. But it?s Victoria who has to face the Adversary and figure out what intricate plan Lucifer has up his wings before everyone she cares about is destroyed.

In other words, it's just another day on the Night Beat.

Excerpt:

Ken sighed. Figures. Jealous to get you back or just chat sports??
Whatever, Ken. Kind of busy here.
Doing nothing. Fine, fine, going off to distract and protect the human. I think I'm going with mind-control, though. We want all those human snacks sent back to police headquarters.
Good, good. Carry on. The slime monster was forming tentacles. Count, we're going from bad to worse.
Slime monsters are difficult, Agent Wolfe, but hardly worth the panic in your voice.
How about something that looks like a slime monster, but isn't. You know, something with tentacles and no face and that sort of fun thing ?
Ah. How big?
Pretty damned. Amanda and I said that together. Because it was growing.
I think we need to call in H.P., Maurice said in a small voice. Maurice didn't scare easily.
The Count sighed. The professor is resting.
This is his area and we're not equipped for this, I snapped. Slimy here has eaten four of Prosaic City's finest, eaten two of our snazzy squad cars and, most likely, several bums, hookers, and drug dealers. For all I know he has some pigeons in there, too.
Rousing the professor now. He'll be to you shortly.
What about Edgar? Amanda asked.
Not his forte, Maurice said dismissively. He's better with the human side of things. This was true.
The slime monster that was more than a mere slime monster continued to form. I continued to shift into full attack form. Nails an inch long and razor sharp? Check. Fangs ready to rip and tear? Double-check. Eyes and ears altered to see and hear better? You got it. Damned fur all over my body, doubling as camouflage and protection? Sure. Problem was, in this day and age, fur wasn?t camouflage any more. Fur was a sign you were odd at best, and a werewolf at worst.
I was both. I was also out of options. The monster finished forming. It was twelve feet tall if it was an inch, and almost as broad as the alley. I aimed for what was likely either its head or its main organ area and fired.

Insight Review and Giveaway

I am reading Insight and this is a great world building. Willow can travel and feel the emotions of all around her. She been dreaming of a Landon. She is also being chased by Drake. In this world she can travel to different world like holding onto line.
In this world they don't believe in Marriage , so the couple Landon and girl do it and mated. She takes everything in but hardly gets upset at all. She just accepts it . Her best Friend happens to find someone to love and they are connected but he also has some special abilities too. Ugh. I sorry this such a short review but I couldn't connect to any of the characters , and I did find the world that they are from more interesting.

I have no idea why Drake is chasing them and this pacing is either action packed or just talking.

Thanks to author and the tour for the book and this is my Honest review

I haven't even made it to the second book to review and for that I am sorry.

I am supposed to give 3 books away...Maybe you will like it better than me.

Please leave a comment on the many different worlds that might be out there and what they might look like and an email address.

You Stink --Unilever blog tour

My daughter is getting to be that age where her body is changing and becoming a young woman. I was happy that we were able to get on this tour.

She tried this for 1 week and I did notice a difference in her smells. My daughter M has been using the wild cherry blossom by suave and loves it.

There is a website for tweens called dontfrethesweat.com . I  don't recall using deodorant at this young age, and I'm sorry for smelling like a teenager when I was growing up MOM.

My nose must have changed after having kids and I understand the importance of smelling good.

I so understand the importance of smelling good around people and hope that pass this along to my daughter M.

I wrote this review while participating in a blog tour campaign by Mom Central on behalf of Unilever and received the items necessary to facilitate my review. In addition, Mom Central sent me a gift card to thank me for taking the time to participate.”

And One last thing--Book Review

And One Last Thing ...Lacey Terwilliger’s shock and humiliation over her husband’s philandering prompt her to add some bonus material to Mike’s company newsletter: stunning Technicolor descriptions of the special brand of "administrative support" his receptionist gives him. The detailed mass e-mail to Mike’s family, friends, and clients blows up in her face, and before one can say "instant urban legend," Lacey has become the pariah of her small Kentucky town, a media punch line, and the defendant in Mike’s defamation lawsuit.

Her seemingly perfect life up in flames, Lacey retreats to her family’s lakeside cabin, only to encounter an aggravating neighbor named Monroe. A hunky crime novelist with a low tolerance for drama, Monroe is not thrilled about a newly divorced woman moving in next door. But with time, beer, and a screen door to the nose, a cautious friendship develops into something infinitely more satisfying.

Lacey has to make a decision about her long-term living arrangements, though. Should she take a job writing caustic divorce newsletters for paying clients, or move on with her own life, pursuing more literary aspirations? Can she find happiness with a man who tells her what he thinks and not what she wants to hear? And will she ever be able to resist saying one . . . last . . . thing?(goodreads.com)

I admit I love good chick lit .

Loved this book of how a women found out that her husband was cheating when she got some flowers delivered and they had the wrong name. What does she do..she stews on it for a couple days and when the day comes, she sends out a email all about the cheating to all of the clients of his company.

Lacey decided to hide away at the cabin from her advice from her attorney and meets Monroe a writer who is working on his next book and they are neighbors.

There were some family moments and loved that Lacey learned to stand on her own and even write a book.

Loved the romance between Monroe and Lacey and it seemed real and honest with all that's happening around them with her family and his family.

Forget You --Book Review

Forget YouWHY CAN’T YOU CHOOSE WHAT YOU FORGET . . . AND WHAT YOU REMEMBER? There’s a lot Zoey would like to forget. Like how her father has knocked up his twenty-four- year old girlfriend. Like Zoey’s fear that the whole town will find out about her mom’s nervous breakdown. Like darkly handsome bad boy Doug taunting her at school. Feeling like her life is about to become a complete mess, Zoey fights back the only way she knows how, using her famous attention to detail to make sure she’s the perfect daughter, the perfect student, and the perfect girlfriend to ultra-popular football player Brandon. But then Zoey is in a car crash, and the next day there’s one thing she can’t remember at all—the entire night before. Did she go parking with Brandon, like she planned? And if so, why does it seem like Brandon is avoiding her? And why is Doug—of all people— suddenly acting as if something significant happened between the two of them? Zoey dimly remembers Doug pulling her from the wreck, but he keeps referring to what happened that night as if it was more, and it terrifies Zoey to admit how much is a blank to her. Controlled, meticulous Zoey is quickly losing her grip on the all-important details of her life—a life that seems strangely empty of Brandon, and strangely full of Doug (goodreads.com)

what a great book of young love ? I have been wanting to read this book for some time.

I found it to be an honest look at the relationship teens have with friends and dealing with problems. I found it interesting that there was alot of sex in the book for such a small book.

Zoey has family problems with her mom being bi-polar and her dad having a relationship with the HR manager at the swim . It was interesting that her father and new wife still had the honeymoon and left Zoey alone for a week even if she had an accident.

Zoey has 2 love interests with Brandon and Doug. They pull at her heart at different ways.

Doug is the bad boy with the heart of gold, but there is still alot talk of condoms , and romance.

I found this to a good example of teens today and what they are going through with high school, friends, relationships, jobs. Life isn't easy and you do keep secrets from your good friends because of your family at times.

Interview with Chloe Neill ( Twice Bitten Blog Tour)

This is my first ever interview with a book writer and being a fan of your books , I'm a bit nervous with doing this online. But I'll give it my best shot. I wanted to interview a author who books I enjoyed. I got introduced to your books through my Blog with Bite group and it was with Some Girls Bite that started my fan girl for your books. I feel like such a fan girl being able to interview you.

I have read and reviewed Some Girls Bite and Firespell and Friday Night Bites  on my blog. Yes I love your books.

Here it goes :
Which character could you relate to the most ?

I definitely relate to Merit the most. She and I have very similar qualities (including our love of books and nervousness about stepping outside our usual roles). She's also as sarcastic as I am. Oh, and she thinks Ethan's handsome. As do I.:)

If you had any super powers what would they be ?

I would be able to fly. I often have dreams where I'm flying. I'm sure that means something interesting!

If you could travel anywhere in time --who would you meet and what the time frame ??

Hmm. Interesting question. I'd probably travel back five or six generations to visit some of my relatives in Mississippi.
According to my genealogical research, they were small farmers who then moved via wagons to Arkansas.

Night owl or morning owl ?

Definitely night owl. I hate getting up on the morning, but it's often hard to make myself go to sleep at night!

Relaxing at home or going out ?
I am definitely a homebody, although I love going out to restaurants with friends, maybe a drink on the patio.

Chocolate or Vanilla ?

CHOCOLATE!

I had to ask the question because I know Merit has that chocolate drawer in the 2nd Book.
Movies or Book Version ??
Books, definitely. I prefer to do my own imagining.

Facebook or Twitter ?
I like Facebook, but I do both. And who knows what the next trend will be??

Fave movie to watch again and again ?
Hmm. Tough one. Probably "The Royal Tennenbaums," the Pride & Prejudice A&E series, and Talledega Nights. ;)

Oh so you like the Colin Firth Pride & Prejudice Version ...yummy
What are you reading right now ??
"World War Z" by Max Brooks. It's an "oral history" of the apocalyptic zombie war. So good. I also just finished reading an ARC of Kalayna Price's Grave Witch. I'm very excited to see that on shelves!!

Thanks so much for having me today!

Thanks so much for being my first Interview and totally excited for the next story of Merit and Ethan.

Guess what I get to give away a Twice Bitten Swag  (including silicone wristband, bookmark and Chicagoland Vampires pen (US/Canada residents). Don't you feel lucky and aren't you excited.

Question: What is your favorite candy bar ?? Leave a comment and this goes til 6/25

From her Facebook page : So, here's the deal: If Twice Bitten makes the NYT list, I get ink. It will say, "the pen is mighter than the sword," although I'm undecided as to location. So, my friends, go forth and preorder!

Breaking the Bank -- Book Review

Mia Saul is down on her luck. Dumped by her husband, jettisoned from her job, and estranged from her adored older brother, she and her young daughter, Eden, have had to make a downscale move to a crummy apartment, where their neighbors include a tough young drug dealer and a widower who lets his dogs use the hallways as their own personal litter box. Juggling a series of temporary jobs, wrangling with her ex-husband over child support, and trying to keep pace with Eden's increasingly erratic behavior have left Mia weary and worn out. EXCEPT WHEN IT IS So when a seemingly functional ATM starts handing Mia thousands and thousands of dollars -- and not deducting the money from her account, because it sure isn't in there -- she isn't about to give it back. Her newfound cash stash opens up a world of opportunity, and a whole lot of trouble. Worried friends, family, and in-laws start questioning her judgment about everything, and the cops really, really want to know where all that cash is coming from. And then there's Patrick, a man Mia most definitely would never have met if things hadn't spun out of control. Mia is beginning to think that maybe somebody, somewhere, is trying to teach her a lesson about what matters in life, and what doesn't....(Goodreads.com)

It was good story and definitely chick lit. I loved that there was a study guide with the book to think over the book. This is my first time reading this author. Thanks to Sarah over at simonschuster for this book to review.

I did think that was a great story of what happens when you do something good for someone else and continue doing good. I loved the family drama , waffling on a boyfriend. But it was great to see the relationship between Eden and her mother.

Oh I would love to find a magic ATM that gives me money like that...the good I do and and the debts I would get rid of for family and friends.

3 out 5 for me.
