Abdi is a thirdie and this story takes place in his point of view. They both have been on tour, and acting as puppets for the SADU. The government is still working towards building an Ark. They get rescued by their friends, and dealing with the fall out from their escape.

Tegan has become a figurehead for the Save Tegan campaign. Tegan and Abdi both have trackers in them, and it also causes them pain by their handlers. With these in them, they were to perform at functions. Abdi has issues with Lat who has been helping Tegan. They are trying to stay safe.

This book has had twists and turns. This world isn't nice , and it was a wild ride. So many topics were touched upon from faith, gender, savages. I loved that the Beatles music was brought up. Abdi had such a tough outlook , but he always saw the hope in Tegan.

Jersey lives in a small town in Missouri  that has tornados. She is best friends with Janie and Dani. Ronnie is her step father, and she doesn't really call him dad. Jersey was in the home when the tornado destroyed the area. Kolby is her neighbor who helps her out. Jersey is tossed to and fro like a tornado , and meets her family who she doesn't know at all. She is missing her sister Marin. While being tossed to the different homes, she learns something about her mom, and also about her family.

This book was good, and I loved that Jersey is dealing with grief and family. Jersey is torn away from everyone that means something to her. I loved the little conversations with Kolby. This book was very light on romance, and this book did touch on religion, but it wasn't the main focus.

Lucy and Owen are both living in NYC. He is there with his dad. She lives in the same apartment building . Their paths cross when they get stuck into an elevator.

After they get out, and the rest of the city is with out power. They get to know one another and spend the day learning about each other. During the day she tells Owen all the places she would love to travel too. He also tells her of the places he would like to see.

They  both end up moving but they still keep in contact. They even end up meeting for 1 day and chatting again. They are both attracted to each other, and both still think of each other.

This book was realistic and a cute romance. There were many missed connections or even chances they could have emailed instead of post cards. I think the ending was realistic , and that they both grew and changed through out the book . I loved that they both went somewhere.

This is the 2nd story of Anna, Sam, Nick, and Cas. They find out new information about the Branch. She is also having flash backs of Dani, and Nick.

She and the boys rescue some others along with Dani. More secrets come to light , and trust is broken along the way. Anna is still in love with Sam. She also she has a connection with Nick.

This book was a fast read, and full of action and romance. I don't know if there is going to be another book in the series. I hope to learn more about Riley and the Branch because I don't think that they are really gone.

I read about 20% into this book but didn't connect with anyone. I found the information about icons interesting. But it wasn't enough for to want to see what would happen.

Holly is a widow and has put on the weight. She is sitting next to Logan who is trainer. He helps her during the flight to just talk. He offers to train her.

During the couple months, there is tension and they are both good friends to each other. Logan wants to turn holly from an ugly duck into a swan. Once she loses some weight , and gets a make over from his married couple friends who are into spanking. Logan & Holly start changing their relationship from friends into more.

I didn't feel any heat during those sex scenes , and Logan wanted to help Holly lose that last little bit of weight. OMG i felt that he didn't really love her if all he cared about was the weight. I found the other couple to be a distraction from the story. I usually love chick lit romances , but I didn't Logan as much . He seemed very superficial , and the fact he didn't really want to take Holly out in public spoke volumes to me.

Danny has just lost his mom , and his sister is in China learning more about her history. His best friend is his dog Stanley. He has been broken up with his girl friend for some time. Danny is the valedictorian at his school, and his mom friend is helping him with estate.

He decides to go to Tokyo and finish cleaning out the apartment , and he finds that his mom has left him some notes for him to solve. He is floundering in his life, and feels very much like an orphan.

I wanted to connect with someone and the person I enjoyed the most was Kana. I did enjoy the parts with the dog , but sending the dog from one place to another , and showing off wealth was a bit much. I think that this book was about finding peace while someone you love is dealing with cancer.

I kept hearing about this book. This is Bliss Edwards journey to lose her virginity. She meets this hot British man at the bar , and comes to close to doing it with it. Its a good thing because he ends up being her teacher in her drama class. This was predictable but a fun journey because they so want to stay away from each but they have an attraction. This was a more of a mother daughter adventure trying to run away from the bad guys. Mila learns more about herself and meets Lucas and she gets tested. I loved that this book has little romance , but it seemed to to missing something or I expected too much from this book.

Easy & Ask the Passengers Book Reviews

Astrid Jones wants to talk to someone or anyone. She likes to lie on the picnic table and send her love to the passengers on the plane. She also makes up stories of what might be happening in their lives. Astrid also has a secret, she is kissing her friend Dee.

This book was good , but I don't see all the hype over this book. I found it thought provoking that Socrates was used as a tool to think over such big topics as Equality, Being perfect , and small town living. This was a fast read . I found that the parents were self absorbed , and the mother didn't really make an effort in the way of Astrid. Her father didn't work and smokes pot. It seems to me that the mother does have a fave daughter , and its not Astrid.

Adaptation Book review

Reese and her Debate team partner David have just finished up with their debate in Arizona. They didn't win it. All kinds of trouble begin happening at the airport , and they learn that birds are making planes fall out of the sky. They decided with their chaperone's that that it might be best to drive back home to San Francisco. Along the way they get into an accident.

Reese wakes up 25 days later and all fine. She is wanting to go back home, but she is under strict orders not to mention the place that they were at to anyone. She also signed a non disclosure agreement along with David. Her mother is a lawyer too , and this information comes into play later.

Her best friend Julian is a someone who believes in life beyond the stars, and also in MIB, and UFOs. Reese and David are finally glad to be back home in San Francisco.

Reese runs into and meets Amber . She is attracted to her , and having these thoughts are all new to her. She and David are changing. She has also had a crush on David for the longest time, and almost got a kiss from him. Reese also has issues with her dad , and not on good terms with him. Reese and David are both changing .

This was fast moving book and I thoroughly enjoyed the location of the story. I could picture all of the places in the book. I loved that this book discussed truth in the government , and it did bring up different ways of love shown through her friends, Amber and David.

Best Line: Hiding whatever happened to you after your accident. The truth will come out.

Angel Review & Giveaway

In the seventh book in the bestselling series, evil scientists are still trying to convince Max that she needs to save the world, this time by providing the genetic link in speeding up the pace of evolution. Worse, they're trying to convince her that her perfect mate is Dylan, the newest addition to the flock. The problem is that, despite herself, Max is starting to believe it.

Fang travels the country collecting his own gang of evolved humans, but the two separate flocks must unite to defeat a frightening doomsday cult whose motto is Save the Planet: Kill the Humans. And this time, the true heroine, for once, might just be little Angel ( goodreads)

This was one of the series that I got into a while back. I enjoyed the family feeling and helping those in need. These kids are trying to survive and find out more information about themselves. Angel is kidnapped , and the flock will do what it can to help one of their own.

I do think that these chapters are small enough and these are a great series for middle grade kids.

Max and friends try to survive the erasers . There is also a betrayal of someone dear to them. Angel is important to the scientists. Max , Fang , and Nudge are trying to stay alive in New York City. Because they can fly , they can travel all over the US.

Its been a long time since I have read James Patterson. I do think that this was a fast read , and even if you haven't read the other books in the series , you will be able to catch up.  This was one of the first authors that I blogged about a couple years ago.

Best Line :  Life itself is a test. Its all a test sometimes you just have to get through it, and then it all makes more sense

A Midsummers Nightmare Book Review

Whitley and Nathan hook up on graduation night. She was drunk that night.

Whitley is spending the summer with her dad , and finds out that her father is newly engaged. She is also in a new town trying to figure out her future. She also has some daddy issues, and with Face book and small town. Whitley life is changed and she deals with her mom and dad. She is trying to find some common ground with Nathan.

I hoped that there would some mention of Shakespeare but sadly no. Also there is mention of Wesley and Bianca. This is the usual Kody fare, and I enjoyed Nathan more than any of the other guys in her other books. There was more tension between Whitley and Nathan , and I loved that there was more family interaction. This book touched on cyber bullying, drinking, sex, and divorce.

Best Line: I don't care. I'm having a major parental crisis that sort of out shines tour little tantrum, and frankly if seems like my dad agrees with you.

Book Review= C

Side Note: I do enjoy reading Kody books. I would love to see her write something in a different genre . That's just my humble opinion. Are these books all companion books to The DUFF ?? Will there more like this ??

Revived Book review

Daisy has come back to life 5 times. She is also allergic to bee stings. She lives with Mason and Cassie who are her parents/operatives. She has a best friend and she blogs about whats on her mind with her best friend in Seattle.

She is now in a new town and makes a friend with Audrey and her brother Matt. Audrey is dying of cancer.

Daisy finally starts to question about the program and some people involved in it.

This was a different book and okay and a very fast read . I didn't like all the religious names for this program. Its an interesting concept about coming back alive .

Best Line: I go anyway , so the detour from Normalville continues

Purity Book Review

Shelby makes 3 promises to her mom before she dies. They are Listen to her father , Love as much as possible, and live without restraint.

Her father is on the committee for a princess ball but this ball also symbolizes purity and all that goes with it. She decides that she wants to find a loophole . She comes up with a plan to lose her virginity.

This was also the story of a father and daughter relationship . This was a cute story and all of this miscommunication would have been avoided if they just talked with each other. Shelby realizes things about herself and those that she loves.

This book walked the fine line of being a christian book and a realistic   in my mind and there mention of sex since this be a purity ball. I found it interesting that they have a pastor and her father is on many committees  in town or on the church it seems but the family didn't seem very much like church going people. But then we are only seeing this family during the 35 days that this story is being told.

With that said I find nothing wrong with believing in God  and remaing pure til marriage. There are those kids out there that believe in that too, and nothing wrong it. I also know that teens are going to want to experiment.

But I found that in this book Shelby had 35 days in which to change her life.

Best Line: With someone I love, I guess. I never thought I'd do the whole wait-til-marriage thing, but I think I wanted it to be with someone I cared about.

Pure Book Review

We know you are here, our brothers and sisters . . .
Pressia barely remembers the Detonations or much about life during the Before. In her sleeping cabinet behind the rubble of an old barbershop where she lives with her grandfather, she thinks about what is lost-how the world went from amusement parks, movie theaters, birthday parties, fathers and mothers . . . to ash and dust, scars, permanent burns, and fused, damaged bodies. And now, at an age when everyone is required to turn themselves over to the militia to either be trained as a soldier or, if they are too damaged and weak, to be used as live targets, Pressia can no longer pretend to be small. Pressia is on the run.

Burn a Pure and Breathe the Ash . . .
There are those who escaped the apocalypse unmarked. Pures. They are tucked safely inside the Dome that protects their healthy, superior bodies. Yet Partridge, whose father is one of the most influential men in the Dome, feels isolated and lonely. Different. He thinks about loss-maybe just because his family is broken; his father is emotionally distant; his brother killed himself; and his mother never made it inside their shelter. Or maybe it's his claustrophobia: his feeling that this Dome has become a swaddling of intensely rigid order. So when a slipped phrase suggests his mother might still be alive, Partridge risks his life to leave the Dome to find her.

When Pressia meets Partridge, their worlds shatter all over again.( goodreads)

I read about 100 pages and I couldn't connect with anyone at all. Seems like a great idea for a world but I couldn't read anymore of it.

Why we Broke up and The Lost Daughter Reviews

This is the story of a break up and all the special items that were near and dear to her. It was interesting to see all the ways that they could have broken up over.
